Vergisson, a sporting paradise
If you are a nature lover or a sports enthusiast, you will find what you are looking at the Rock of Vergisson, whether it be on its steep cliffs or enjoying its hilly surroundings. Hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, and trail running are within everyone’s reach, and there is something for all levels.
Rock Climbing
Vergisson offers climbing routes for all levels on two different sites: the Rock and the Parvis. Several clubs affiliated with the French Mountain and Climbing Federation exist in the Mâconnais region. Look them up to find out more.
You can access the climbing routes from the P3 car park for the Rock routes;
for the Parvis routes, park in the Town Hall car park (in order to leave the Parvis path free for security reasons).
Walking
The Rock of Vergisson and its surrounding areas offer many marked hiking trails to discover different viewpoints of this unique panorama. A picnic area and games area as well as toilets are provided by the municipality near the Town Hall car park.

Paragliding
Take to the air and enjoy a unique experience while discovering the beautiful landscape from the sky! Paragliding is possible in Vergisson but it is for experienced paragliders only.

Trail Running
Trail and mountain bike enthusiasts will not be disappointed! Vergisson offers many varied trails passing through vineyards and forests.
